Busy

A million apologies for falling off the radar somewhat.  I've been so busy, mainly with work and small child-shaped stuff but also with visiting friends and (as my mum would say) "gadding about". 

This weekend Peachy-pie, Himself and I attended a christening in Essendon, Hertfordshire.  Poor old Pixie-face is embracing the terrible twos with frightening enthusiasm and so the decision was made to leave her with the long-suffering grandparents.  Lots of travel, strange beds, new faces, late nights and a stroppy teething two year old do not a good mix make.  So we regretfully kissed goodbye to my babe and travelled up on Friday.

The weekend was really lovely.  We had great weather, Himself won the golf tournament he competed in, Peachy-pie got to swim 3 days on the trot and we got to relax in leafy Hertfordshire.  Us girls also trekked into London and met up with one of the besties and her new baby.  We spent Saturday afternoon at the Pottery Cafe in Fulham which was SO enjoyable and then stayed at her beautiful new house in Parsons Green.  

We're so lucky that we have very kind friends who invite us to stay at their houses but it's so lovely to get into your own bed again isn't it?!
